Sherwood Forest

With our move south imminent we’re trying to squeeze in anything we haven’t done in the Midlands  (and have an interest in doing) before we go.  Last weekend we drove up to Nottingham to frolick through Sherwood Forest.

Now what we didn’t take into account was that last weekend was also the first sunny, warm weekend we’ve had in a long while…so it was kinda brown and dead still…but hey!  We were IN Sherwood Forest and we SAW the ancient oak trees…regardless of how bare their branches were.

...stopped for a wee at The Robin Hood...

...he hit the sheriff and the bell...hooray for decent hand-eye coordination (of which I have none).

...our children's hiding skills...
...ancient creepy oak trees...

...I was there...
...James hugging a tree...

...Mitch having convinced Alex the fence is electric, lowering Alex's hand onto the fence...
